Yemen: Trial of former Guantánamo detainees starts

On 13 February, a Specialized State Security Court began the trial of three Yemenis, formerly detained in Guantánamo Bay and handed over to Yemen by the US in May 2005, on charges of forging passports and official documents.  

Israel: Former Director of General Security Service sued

The relatives of 14 Palestinian killed in July 2002 when Israel killed a senior Hamas figure in Gaza, have filed a civil lawsuit in the US against former Director of General Security Service, Avi Dichter. The Israeli Foreign Ministry has condemned the lawsuit.
