“Claims that Australian soldiers will be subject to charges brought against them by the International Criminal Court are spurious and without foundation,” said Justice John Dowd, President of ICJ’s Australian Section.
The ICJ is deeply concerned about the harassment of Sternford Moyo (photo), the President of the Law Society Zimbabwe and Wilbert Mapombere, Executive Secretary of the Law Society.
The ICJ deplores the abuse of the judicial process in the prosecution of 27 lawyers at the Heavy Penal Court in Ankara.
The ICJ welcomes the decision of President Bakili Muluzi (photo) to dismiss impeachment charges against two High Court judges after reviewing the report of the Judicial Service Commission.
