El 28 de agosto, 160 juristas de todo el mundo, reunidos en la conferencia bienal de la CIJ, adoptaron la “Declaración sobre la defensa de los derechos humanos y el estado de derecho en la lucha contra el terrorismo”.
Esta Declaración subraya los graves desafíos al estado de derecho que presentan ciertas medidas antiterroristas excesivas, reafirma los derechos humanos fundamentales violados por estas medidas y establece métodos de acción para que la red internacional de la CIJ pueda hacer frente a este desafío.

Today, 150 international lawyers from around the world adopted a Declaration on Upholding Human Rights and the Rule of Law in Combating Terrorism.
The Declaration, adopted at the close of the ICJ’s biennal conference, highlights the grave challenge to the rule of law brought about by recent excessive counter-terrorism measures and many old counter-terrorism laws that have been a problem for decades.
