Business and human rights: Submission to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights

In October 2004, the ICJ submitted a written opinion to the United Nations High Commisioner for Human Rights, in which it outlined its position on the question of corporate accountability.

In its submission, it expressed support for the Norms on Transnational Corporations adopted by the Sub-Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights and its view that consultations should be held with all stakeholders to obtain a legal instrument on business and human rights.
