Today, the ICJ, along with five other international human rights organizations, submitted a letter to the President of the Senate and the Chair of the Extraordinary Committee Considering the Draft Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Enforced Disappearance Act calling for an end to the protracted delay in finalizing and adopting legislation aimed at protecting against torture, other ill-treatment and enforced disappearance.
The undersigned organizations call on member and observer States of the UN Human Rights Council to support the renewal of the UN Fact-Finding Mission (FFM) mandate on Libya, as a matter of urgency, at the upcoming 50th session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC).
