Effective July 1st, 1961, Sir Leslie Munro, K.C.M.G., K.C.V.O., will succeed Dr. Jean-Flavien Lalive as Secretary-General of the ICJ.
Dr. Jean-Flavien Lalive, a Swiss jurist and Secretary-General of the IICJ, has arrived in Portugal on a short informal visit with the purpose of broadening the Commission’s contacts in this country.
The ICJ announced today at its Geneva headquarters a world-wide Contest on the theme The Role of the Lawyer in the Economic and Social Development of his Country within the Framework of the Rule of Law.
