The purpose of the Review is to focus attention on the problems in regard to which lawyers can make their contribution to society in their respective areas of influence and to provide them with the necessary information and data.
Under the rules of procedure of the UN Commission on Human Rights non-governmental organisations do not enjoy a right of reply. Accordingly a reply is given in this edition to an attack on the ICJ and its West Bank affiliate made in February 1985 to the Commission on Human Rights by the representative of Israel, Ambassador Ephraim Dowek.
