The ICJ drew the Council’s attention to the persistent violations of Israel’s obligations as the Occupying Power under international law as well as the continuous discrimination against the Arab citizens of Israel.
The ICJ called on the Council to urge Israel end the siege on Gaza, refrain from indiscriminate and disproportionate use of force and stop the expansion of settlements and construction of the wall of separation. The ICJ also demanded repealing the discriminatory citizenship law and ending racial profiling at the airports.
