“It is difficult indeed to piece together fragmentary information available on the International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL) in the last couple of years. The meetings of its executive bodies take place these days without the slightest ripple of publicity.
Even the press of the satellite countries, which have been hosts to IADL sessions ever since 1949, does not pay them any more attention. Hardly do we know that Warsaw was the locale of the last meeting scheduled for the end of August 1955.”
