The ICJ intervened with President Pervez Musharraf requesting that police inaction in the case of the gang-rape of a woman and her very young brother be investigated.
“Claims that Australian soldiers will be subject to charges brought against them by the International Criminal Court are spurious and without foundation,” said Justice John Dowd, President of ICJ’s Australian Section.
Press reports have mistakenly referred to Mr Scott Johnson as representing the ICJ when he made a statement on assistance from the UN Population Fund.
The ICJ and JUSTICE, its Hong Kong Section, are concerned over the methods used by immigration and police officers to effect removal from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of right of abode claimants.
