ICJ Intervention to the HRC on the human rights and humanitarian situation in Palestine
The ICJ is deeply concerned by the deteriorating human rights and humanitarian situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, which has been exacerbated by recent Israeli incursions in Gaza and Nablus.
The ICJ called on Israel to lift the siege on Gaza and ensure permanent transit in and out of Gaza, and regular delivery of all means of subsistence. The ICJ requested the Council to urge all parties to abide by international humanitarian law, exercise restraint and protect civilians.
