The ICJ today said that Nepal’s Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Ordinance (TADO), is in violation of the country’s human rights obligations and strongly recommended that the Government not renew the Ordinance.
The ICJ today expressed concern at the continuing detention of lawyer Behane Mogese and called for his immediate and unconditional release.
The ICJ and the FIDH acknowledge various procedural arguments according to which it would be legally impossible or difficult to adopt the draft International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance at the 62nd session of the Commission on Human Rights.

Elle attend que le mandat constitutionnel de contribution au respect des droits de l’Homme par le biais de la politique étrangère de la Suisse soit respecté.
La section a remarqué avec un certain étonnement que l’importance des droits de l’homme dans le cadre de la politique étrangère de la Suisse est controversée même auprès des représentant(e)s des autorités. Cela ressort notamment des discussions qui ont eu lieu au sujet de l’enquête sur les activités des services secrets américains sur le territoire suisse.
