Guatemala ha sufrido y sufre todavfa uno de los peores maies que conoce nuestra civilizacion y que en otros tiempos de la historia ha asumido aun formas mucho mas terribles, como es la discrimination.Discrimination en este caso ejercida contra su poblaciôn indigena, que ni siquiera constituye una minorfa -lo que también serfa inhumano- sino la mayoria de quienes habitan este suelo. Discriminacion negativa y abandono en funciôn del origen étnico, del color de la piel, de los rasgos fisicos.
