The ICJ is deeply concerned by the deteriorating human rights and humanitarian situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, which has been exacerbated by recent Israeli incursions in Gaza and Nablus.
The ICJ called on Israel to lift the siege on Gaza and ensure permanent transit in and out of Gaza, and regular delivery of all means of subsistence. The ICJ requested the Council to urge all parties to abide by international humanitarian law, exercise restraint and protect civilians.

The ICJ said today that courts and investigatory bodies set up specially by the Sudanese Government to address human rights violations in Darfur have failed to deliver justice to victims in Darfur.
