The position of the Kenyan section of ICJ on the proposed constitution and the referendum

Africa
Issue: Civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights
Document Type: Position Paper
Date: 2005

This was out of a realization that we as a people needed to define our existence as a nation and craft a structure of government that would unify and serve us for posterity.

In seeking to develop a way forward towards the achievement of the above ideals, ICJ Kenya organized a workshop with representation from members of parliament, civil society, government agencies and the academia to interrogate the issues in the month of June 2005. Five options on the way forward emerged.
