“A royal order has been issued by His Majesty King Vajiravudh making a public declaration that the Martial Law Order issued in BE 2450 (r.s. 126) (1907 AD) does not provide sufficient power to the military at the time of war to maintain law and order and defend against the danger of attack, either from abroad or from within the country. It is now necessary to amend the Martial Law Order to render it more appropriate to the current times. The Martial Law Order of BE 2450 (r.s. 126) ( 1907 AD) is therefore to be revoked and a new Martial Law Order to be introduced, with details as follows:”
The Martial Law contains 17 Articles. With amendments from 1942, 1959, 1972 and 1985.
