The ICJ urged the Malaysian Federal Court to deliver its judgment expeditiously in the appeal of Anwar Ibrahim. The former deputy prime minister is in jail on politically motivated charges of corruption and sodomy.
Today, the ICJ presented an oral statement to the Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection on Human Rights.
“This ruling is a powerful statement that the Barrier as constructed is a violation of international law,” said Nicholas Howen, Secretary-General of the ICJ, welcoming the International Court of Justice’s Advisory Opinion on Israel’s Separation Barrier.
