ICJ Condemns the bomb attack in Israel

The ICJ condemns the bomb attack at Beit Lid bus stop junction. The “Islamic Jihad” claimed responsibility for this act which resulted in the killing of 18 Israeli soldiers and one civilian, and injured tens of other persons.

The ICJ is concerned about the potential repercussions of this attack. The ICJ already calls on the Government of Israel to exercise maximum restraint and avoid taking disproportionate and collective action against Palestinian civilians for acts they did not commit. The ICJ urges all parties to put an immediate end to the violence.

ICJ condemns attacks against civilians in Israel

The ICJ condemns the two recent attacks on Israeli civilians in Israel. Yesterday’s bombing of a bus stop in Khadera killed five Israelis and wounded at least thirty others.

Last week, a similar attack in Afula killed seven Israelis and wounded forty-three. The Hamas group has claimed responsibility for both bombings.

Such outrageous acts of violence against civilians senselessly aggravate the already tense situation. Human life is sacred. In this transitional period, the ICJ calls for self-restraint and the absolute respect of human rights.
