IV. TYPES OF KILLINGS
13. In his report, the Special Rapporteur indicated several particularly problematic types of killings that occur in Guatemala: social cleansing; lynching; femicide; attacks targeting people for being gay, lesbian, transgender or transsexual; [1] attacks on human rights defenders; and violence against those in prisons. In addition, in the last few years a new form of violence has taken hold – attacks against conductors of public transit.
