At the Universal Periodic Review of its human rights record in March 2012, Swaziland found the recommendations to ratify the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families, the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture, and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court to be acceptable.[1] It also accepted recommendations to put in place human rights training programmes for members of the judiciary and law enforcement officials, and to take concrete and immediate measures to guarantee the independence and impartiality of the judiciary.[2]
