At the request of the children rights’ organization Defence for Children International, Palestine Section (DCI/PS), jurists appointed by the Swedish section of the ICJ as trial observers twill go to the West Bank to be present at trials in Israeli Military Courts.
Advanced as early as 1970, the idea of a protective human rights instrument for the Arab region only took concrete form in 1994, with the adoption by the members of the League of Arab States of the Arab Charter on Human Rights.
Today, the ICJ and other rights groups submitted an intervention to the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, recalling the international human rights of non-citizens.

Estas son las Leyes Nº 23.492, de Punto Final de 12 de diciembre de 1986, y Nº 23.521, de Obediencia Debida de 4 de junio de 1987, de la República Argentina con el derecho internacional y, en particular, con la obligación de Argentina de enjuiciar y sancionar a los autores de graves violaciones a los derechos humanos.
Estas leyes han servido hasta ahora para obstruir las investigaciones de miles de casos de víctimas de desapariciones forzadas, tortura y ejecuciones extrajudiciales cometidas durante los gobiernos militares de 1976 a 1983.
