The ICJ and Survival International have called on the UN General Assembly to adopt the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, at its current session in New York.

The open-letter was signed by personalities and organizations from all around the world to suport the adoption of this text by the Human Rights Council.
In a legal memorandum addressed to the Guatemalan Congress, the ICJ concludes that, if approved in their current form, the draft laws would entail a significant step back in the fight against impunity in Guatemala.
